Sotomayor apparently trying to keep the white man down

The Supreme Court ruled today to reverse the 2nd U.S. Circut Court of Appeals decision in favor of New Haven Connecticut in a lawsuit brought on by white firefighters claiming racial descrimination. I know, I know. If we can't make race relations work in the multi-ethnic melting pot/microcosm of the country at large that is Connecticut, what hope is there for the rest of the nation, nay the world? Oh, you're wondering about the headline? Sotomayer was on the appeals court that ruled against the white guys. Which is possibly why fox news gives a shit:
WASHINGTON — DEVELOPING: The Supreme Court has ruled that white firefighters in New Haven, Conn., were unfairly denied promotions because of their race, reversing a decision that high court nominee Sonia Sotomayor endorsed as an appeals court judge. New Haven was wrong to scrap a promotion exam because no African-Americans and only two Hispanic firefighters were likely to be made lieutenants or captains based on the results, the court said Monday in a 5-4 decision. The city said that it had acted to avoid a lawsuit from minorities…"Fear of litigation alone cannot justify an employer's reliance on race to the detriment of individuals who passed the examinations and qualified for promotions," Justice Anthony Kennedy said in his opinion for the court. He was joined by Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Samuel Alito, Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas. [Source: foxnews.com].

I’m a big supporter of Affirmative Action laws and I know enough inbred, racist pieces of shit to know that these laws, sadly, have yet to reach “obsolete” status. If you’re a white guy reading this, complaining aloud at your desk, need I remind you that you still get paid more for the same job than Hispanic-americans, African-americans, and women based, not on performance, but the simple fact that you possess a wang and lack higher levels of melanin? However, it is important to remember that the purpose of these laws is to level the playing field, not to give one group preference over another. So, that being said, I guess I …*vomits a little in mouth*…agree with Scalia and friends. God I feel dirty.
