The dumbening

A blogger in Connecticut has been arrested for inciting violence against the state legislature. 47 year-old “Hal” Turner told readers of his blog to take up arms against local lawmakers “suggested government officials should ‘obey the Constitution or die.’" The best part about this? Why he was so upset. From msnbc:

Turner was angry over legislation that would have given lay members of Roman Catholic churches in Connecticut more control over their parishes' finances. The bill was withdrawn in March[Source: msnbc.msn.com].

I can’t believe this guy lost his radio show. He seems so level-headed. I know that the issue here is free speech, but I’m just so distracted by the fact that his reaction was so over the top for such a lame issue. Am I the only one who read this and thought ‘You’re against discount bus fair for war widows?’
